How to request and follow up on coffee samples

Sampling is part of serious coffee buying. On V-Hub you can request samples directly from a listing before you commit to an order.

Requesting a sample

1. Log in and open the listing you're interested in.
2. Click Order sample on the listing.
3. Confirm the sample request — the seller receives it and responds with the sample's availability and terms.

What happens next The seller confirms the sample and arranges delivery. You can follow the status of your sample request in your dashboard and message the seller if needed.

Cupping the sample When your sample arrives, cup it and record your evaluation. V-Hub's cupping tool lets you evaluate the coffee (flavour notes, quality, your own score) and keep the record linked to that coffee — see "How to use V-Hub Tag / QR cupping".

Following up

• Keep your cupping notes in V-Hub so you remember the samples you were interested in.
• If you like the sample, go back to the listing and place an order — you can reference your sample in the conversation with the seller.
• If you don't hear back from a seller, message them through the platform.
