How shipping and Incoterms work on V-Hub

Shipping terms on V-Hub are agreed between buyer and seller. V-Hub supports the standard international trade terms (Incoterms), so both sides know exactly who is responsible for what.

Common Incoterms on V-Hub

  • EXW (Ex Works) — the buyer collects the coffee from the seller's location. The buyer arranges transport and bears all costs and risk from that point.
  • FOB (Free On Board) — the seller delivers the coffee on board the vessel named by the buyer at the port of shipment. Cost and risk transfer to the buyer once the coffee is on board.
  • CFR (Cost and Freight) — the seller pays the cost and freight to bring the coffee to the destination port, but risk transfers to the buyer once the coffee is on board the vessel.
  • CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight) — like CFR, plus the seller arranges and pays for insurance for the goods during transit.

Where to find the shipping terms The Incoterm is part of the offer between you and the seller. It appears on the listing, in the order request, and on the final offer. Check it before accepting so you know who arranges transport and insurance.

Warehouse location matters Each listing shows where the coffee is physically located. Using the warehouse filter, you can focus on coffees already in your region — which usually means faster and cheaper delivery.
